How to Fix HP Printer 2130 Not Printing issues?

The quality of any printer document or image is not reliable or as expected. End-user is not getting the expected results with printers.

The procedure of this document should help with faded or blurry printouts, color, and black ink is not printing, documents with blurry or fuzzy text, ink streaks or smears, and other print quality problems.

Let us discuss resolving the HP Deskjet 2130 not printing issue.

Step-1: Reinstall the Print Driver (Window only)

If you cannot print color from a window computer, uninstall the previous version of the print driver software and reinstall the latest version print driver software

  • Remove the printer from the device list.
  • If your printer connects to a computer with a USB cable, Disconnect the cable from the printer.
  • Start->Program and feature->Click Hp printer name from installed program->Click Uninstall or yes.
  • After the software uninstalls is a complete process, restart the computer. 
  • After uninstalling, remove the printer from the device list by going to the control panel->Devices and Printers, right-click the icon of your printer and click remove the device or uninstall the device.

  • Go to HP Customer Support Software and Driver Downloads, and install the latest software for your printer.

Step-2: Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges

  • HP recommends using genuine HP ink or toner. HP cannot guarantee the quality and reliability of non-HP refilled cartridges due to compatibility.

Step-3: Check for Ink Smears on the Back of the Printout

  • Turn on the printer->Load paper in input tray->press and hold power button->cancel button three times->press Start Copy Color button eight times->release the power button.
  • The printer takes one page slowly and might make some noise for one minute and a blank test page is a print.
  • Wait until the printer shows the page is out of the printer before you remove it.
  • Discard and recycle the test page, and try to print.

Step-4: Make Sure to Use Appropriate Paper for your Printing

  • Keep the Printing paper by putting the print side up in the input tray.
  • Do not use wrinkled or curled paper.
  • Use the correct paper type for your task.
  • Store photo paper in its original packaging plastic bags to avoid wrinkled

Step-5: Check Print Settings

  • Click File->Print->Properties
  • In properties, there are several options to set up printer print quality ie. Properties, option, Printer setup, Printer, Preference.
  • Paper Size: Select the correct paper size as per your need
  • Print quality: To increase print quality select Best, Normal, and Draft Mode
  • Paper Type: For printing photo paper, select the type of photo paper.

Step-6: Check Estimated Ink Levels

  • Load A4 size paper in the input tray.
  • Turn on the printer.
  • Open the HP folder in your list, Click the folder for the printer, Click the name of your printer. HP assistant opens.
  • On the HP Printer Assistant window, Click maintains your printer.
  • Click the Device Services tab, and then click Estimated Ink Levels.

Step-7: Replace Low or Empty Ink Cartridge with New one or Refilled Cartridge.

Step-8: Align the Ink Cartridges

  • Lift the scanner lid.
  • Place the alignment page with the print side down on the scanner glass, and then position it according to the engraved around the glass.
  • Close the scanner lid.
  • Press the Start Copy Black Button on the control panel of the printer.

Step-9: Print a Print Quality Diagnostic page

  • Load A4 Size paper in input tray
  • Turn on printer
  • Open or search for HP folder in your list of installed software, Click your printer and then click the name of your printer
  • HP Assistance->HP Printer Assistant->Maintain your printer
  • Click the Device Reports tab and click print Diagnostic Information

Step-10: Examine the Black and Color Block for Defects

Step-11: Clean the Ink Cartridges (Window)

  • Load A4 Size Paper->Turn on printer->Open or search HP folder->Click the folder of your printer->Click the name of the Printer
  • HP printer assistance window->Maintain your printer->Device service->Clean Ink Cartridge
  • Once the cleaning cycle is complete, Click print-> test page print
  • If the print quality is acceptable, stop troubleshooting, if it is not acceptable, perform a second-level cleaning when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.

Step-12: Manually Cleanup the Area Around the Ink Oilcan.
